It’s official! Announcing the first ever Stitch People Day!! On September 30th we will be a full day of stitchy festivities!
We’ll be celebrating your love of stitching Stitch People but more importantly, Stitch People Day will be about the way the Stitch People community, YOU, have shown love, support and so imagination. How you use these patterns to bring joy to each other and everyone around you.
Why Stitch People Day?
It won’t be news to you that this has been a uniquely difficult time for almost everyone in the world. Stitch People Day will be a day to create a little magic and bring a little joy to our engaged, creative and diverse community. But more than that, we’ll be encouraging you to embrace the ‘people’ part of Stitch People and spread that magic and joy to the people around you!
How do I participate?
The beauty of Stitch People Day – you can participate at any hour, from anywhere in the world, for FREE! We’ll offer one-day-only discounts, a giveaway, tips and tricks from the pros, and lots of fun project features from all of you!
Most importantly, we have a challenge for you! We invite you to gift one Stitch People portrait to someone in your life that you’ve been thinking about. Be it a friend, family member, a neighbor who needs cheering up, the mail carrier, a health care worker, the person who bags your groceries! Whoever you choose, make sure to catch their reaction and post it to the Stitch People Community group or your favorite social media account so we can watch the love spread. Hello, and thanks for this fun Stitch People Day! Just wanted to ask that you consider the large purges happening at Facebook, first in 2008 and coming this October (they actually started silencing people weeks beforehand, and I only know because I’m among them) and think about moving the community page to your website. I was enjoying it on Facebook before I was shadow-banned. Thank you.
