So you’ve got your DIY Stitch People book and you’re ready to start on your Stitch People portrait. Woohoo!!! But perhaps little questions have started popping up in your head:
- Is there an easier way to thread the needle?
- What if I want to use metal thread?
- Am I doing this right?!
Well, you’re in luck. We have the answers to these questions and more in the monthly live Stitch People portrait classes!
Each month we’ll stitch a small portrait or part of a larger portrait all while teaching you how to use the DIY Stitch People book, and how to get the best out of YOUR portrait. The best part is, you’ll be learning direct from the expert Lizzy – founder and creator of Stitch People!
Could you ask for more? Well there’s no need to ask because here’s more. We’ll be talking about materials, pattern selection, designing, layout/positioning of your characters, color decisions.
We’ll also give you tips and tricks for getting the best out of your portrait, working with different types of thread and floss and going over some options for stitches you may have thought were out of your league until you see how easy they are.
So how do these portrait classes work?
On the last Friday of every month at 7pm MST, we’ll go live in the Stitch People Facebook community. All you have to do is show up in the group on that date and time! You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Ask Lizzy questions
- Learn valuable techniques you will use in all of your future stitching
- Join a lively chat with people like you who love Stitch People
- Get to know Lizzy and the team while we get to know you
The only requirement for the class is that you have the DIY Stitch People book, so that we’re all on the same page (hehe…get it…book?…page?…we’ll limit the corny jokes, promise 😉)
Not a member of the community yet?
What are you waiting for?! Head on over to the Facebook Group and apply to join today. To join you’ll need your DIY Stitch People book order number. While you’re there, take a look around because you’ve just found the best place on the internet!
We hope you can join us this month for the Stitch People Monthly Portrait class! Comment below if you have any questions!
