Stitch People is holding a Virtual Spring Fling! What’s that you say? Well, it will be TWO weekends of cross-stitching, learning new techniques, stitching together, giveaways, patterns, free stuff and more! You can join fellow stitchers from all over the world making new stitching bff’s as you go!
We will be hosting not one, but TWO events!
We heard your feedback from our last events and this time we’re meeting you where you’re most comfortable by having two weekends! One for beginners and one for more advanced stitchers!
Beginners Stitchers – May 14th-16th
Advanced Stitchers – May 21st-23rd
Our Beginner Stitchers will go through the basics of designing and stitching basic backgrounds and layouts, real hair and floral techniques. All taught by the owner and creator of Stitch People, Lizzy Dabczynski-Bean.
Our Advanced Stitchers will learn from experienced and professional instructors in advanced techniques. Including:
- Tips and tricks for Extensive Backgrounds with Carol Ricco of A Lil Stitching by Carole
- Color Combinations and Textures of Real Hair with Betsy of Little Thistles
- The fine art of making Flowers and Greenery come to life with Heather Munns of Munns Made
Each weekend will run from Friday to Sunday where we’ll be spending 3 hours together, learning, stitching and chatting. Each day will include 2 hours of instruction time, opportunities to enter giveaways, our signature get-to-know you games plus dedicated Q&A sessions from each of your instructors.
Classes will run from 4pm to 7pm MST so most people will be able to join us live but if you can’t, never fear! All the classes will be recorded and you can access them at a time that works for you!

The gathering was lots of fun, I feel inspired to continue stitching and trying new things
You guys did an *amazing* job with this event. Everything was super clear, I loved that I could watch live and then if I had to finish the presentation later, that I could log on right away and finish it at my convenience. (As a mom of two little ones, I couldn’t always watch the whole thing each day as it streamed 🙂 You guys seem to know exactly what your customers want, and it’s so evident that you care about making the experience a great one and and a memorable one. You think of every last detail and it is SO appreciated. What a unique and amazing thing you guys have created!
This was a great event and was awesome to watch while I was working on a 10 person portrait.
I loved it! The icebreaker polls were a nice touch and a great way to get to know people. The chat feature was great for meeting people and asking/answering questions amongst the participants. I found the presentations very interesting and informative. I left each day excited to move forward with a few designs I had drawn but not stitched. The only draw back I found was that it was really difficult to get back into my day job after being so creatively inspired each day! Thank you so much for having this event!
I have cross stitched for years using kits. I have never been brave enough to create my very own design, until now! The Building session was fantastic!

This will be for the hardcore stitchers who just want to get down to business. This option gives you access to the live-stream but you won’t have access to the free patterns, swag or be eligible to enter the giveaways.
Spring Fling Stitcher Access! $30
This option will give you all you need to have a swinging good time and includes, discounts, gifts, swag and entrance to any and all giveaways. You’ll get:
- A full weekend of classes!
- Spring Fling Stitch-A-Long Pattern! Each weekend is a different pattern!!!!
- A digital swag bag full of goodies
VIP Spring Fling Stitchers! $60 – Only 30 spots per weekend available!
We’ll roll out the (virtual) red carpet for you with this option. VIP attendees will get everything above plus more!
