What an amazing year we’ve had here at Stitch People!
We saw the addition of a whole new bunch of patterns including cultural, make-believe and sports, we got to meet you face to face at Pinner’s Conferences, Lizzy and Spencer became full time RVer’s not to mention we finally released the biggest and best version of the Do-it-Yourself Stitch People book!
The best though is how blown away were were by our beautiful and talented community. Stitch People stitchers absolutely knocked it out of the park by using the Stitch People patterns in stupendous ways.
Let’s take a look at just a few of the stunning pieces that came out of the Stitch People community in 2018!
This farm piece won first place!

And Siân Lysanne Maguire created a competition winner if we ever saw one

We saw the introduction of HUGE portraits

Our community created ways to add fabulous flair to their portraits!
This pom pom hat by Anna Miles

All the crazy awesome details on this portrait by Lina Hung

And speaking of flair, we saw some of the most charming and creative wedding portraits ever!
Like this piece by Laura Anne

This colorful gorgeousness by Lisa Meier

Or this jaw dropping piece by Zanny Delsas

And who could forget “THE” wedding of the year captured by Amy Bogle?

Wedding also allowed our community to branch out of the typical Stitch People portrait wall art and use the patterns in fun new ways. This piece by Joanne Ianni Basile is a prime example!

But the adventurousness didn’t stop there, we also saw Family Trees

And fun ornaments!

And just when we thought we couldn’t be impressed more, our community started adding houses like this unfathomable piece by Priscilla Rodriguez
And this from Jillian Busath Inouye

And of course this by Stacy Edison

Stitch People also went to places they’ve never been before, like at the beach with Hayley Knipping Boothby

To the mountains with Dorothy Dennis

To the Tropics with Lexie Hassan

To yoga with Jen Naschansky!

Camping with Nicole Bellefleur Valdron

And with Becky Finck

These are far too few of the hundreds of incredible Stitch People portraits that have come out of our uncompromisingly talented community.
What started as gifts to family and friends has flourished into a space and community of the most passionate and talented people we could know. We’re so proud of the influence Stitch People has had in inspiring the creativity of thousands of people.
We’re not done yet! We have some big plans for 2019 and can not wait to see what is created this year by our outstanding community. Thank you all for an incredible year and we wish you the best and brightest 2019.
Happy New Year!
